Workers Recommendations1.Ensure compliance with the Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work to maximize the voice and representation of migrant workers, guided by the ASEAN framework for extending and protecting the rights of migrant workers2.Support the transition of migrant workers affected by the future of work especially by technological advancement, through skilling, reskilling and upskilling.Rebranding workers, multi-skilledCosts should be managedthrough cost-sharing between origin and destination countriesExpanding opportunities for migration of workers at all levelsby Mutual Recognition Arrangements (MRAs), mutual recognition of their skillsand prior learning3.Mainstream equal protection of national and migrant workersthrough effective implementation and enforcement of national legislation.4.Ensure equal social protection for migrant workersand ensure theportability of social protection especially on pension schemethrough intra-ASEAN bilateral or multilateral agreementsand in line with the principles of ILO Convention 102.5.Disseminate and replicate good practices for protecting and promoting the rights of migrant workers, in terms of social protectioncoverages, organizing initiatives, bilateral agreements , focal points and ambassador systems.6.The principles of tripartism and social dialogue should be key for migration policy, legislation and practices at both national and ASEANlevels7.Cooperation and collaboration among stakeholders to achieve these recommendations

Guarantee safe and fair recruitmentof migrant workers with no recruitment fees and related costs, clear and transparent contracts with freely agreed terms and conditions of employmentbased on relevant international labour standards and national legislation and policies.9.Together with promotion of safe migration, promote comprehensiveeconomicdevelopment plan from agro-based economy in ASEAN to create employment opportunity making migration as a choice in the countries of origin
